My weather radio picked up nothing in woodland caribou.

The best thing about an InReach is the weather forecasts. Three day forecasts in 6 hour increments. Wind, temp, precip, etc. found it to be very accurate. Have never tried a wx radio but doubt it would be of great value.

I always bring a wx radio on our trips. I've never had a coverage/reception problem anywhere in BW or Quetico. Should I expect the same in WCPP?

Well, one of the guys going with does have an InReach device, so that's good information to have - thanks!

I've wondered about it too. I know Canada has a WeatherRadio network with SAME just like in the US. WeatherRadio Canada.
There's a map of approximate coverage on a PDF, and it looks like Kenora may be the closest to WCPP - maybe something in Manitoba. It would be good to get confirmation about if it reaches or not.
The PDF brochure online is from 2010 and could be out of date. PDF map

THERE IS NO WEATHER RADIO COVERAGE IN WOODLAND CARIBOU!

I took my Crane WX radio to Woodland for my June trip. Was in southern part of the park and could not get anything on the radio. Relied on my inReach for weather updates. The Crane also worked well in Quetico so I took a chance. Won't take it this summer.

This was my experience as well with my weather radio. I could probably find a radio to reel in the weather Canada stations but I've just relied on the Inreach and/or the long range forecast. The weather is so changeable up there that the rain you did/didn't expect could be hitting the lake next to you or pounding your lake. So, you go prepared for anything!
