Pakwash was a great place to stay during my May trip. I had the whole campground to myself and had the best aurora I've ever seen. Thanks for the recommendations!

Fantastic. I'll do a trip report when I get a moment. Loved the area, found a couple unmarked pictos, had good fishing, no injuries, lots of moose and a black bear sighted, 1 moose shed, windy as hell in the burn area but got to try a new tarp pitch. I'll likely do a fly-in to the NW section of the park next time to see what's going on up there!

Looking for some cheap overnight options near Leano in a couple weeks. Sometimes on trips I'll camp in a nearby forest if they allow disbursed camping. Curious if that's an option within a couple hours of the park or if there are some bunkhouse-style options someone knows about. Thanks!

Albert (goldseekers outfitters) has a small cabin on his property in RL. Way less than the local hotel (unless they have lowered their rates) but more than a bunkhouse.
If you are not a citizen of Canada you can’t camp in “green zones” and much of the crown land around the East side of WCPP is green zone, so options are quite limited.

Pakwash PP near Ear Falls
Also a great place to pay for day use and use the shower house for the long ride home.
