I was next door in Atikaki for the last month. Plenty of small rains so no fires and minimal danger from lightning caused ones for a while. Bugs almost non-existent even at sundown.

...just returned from a trip/July 24-August 3...there was no fire ban during that time. It was dry with very few bugs...the Ontario fire map is a great source for showing fire locations/at the moment none in the park. The WCCP office/facebook has a good map of all the portages cleared this year. With the regrowth of the forest, lots of color from the plant life. The Environment Canada website will give a good view of current weather conditions. We experienced two big thunderstorm during our trip that helped the fire conditions, but the storms have been spotty across the region this summer. Enjoy/it's a wonderful place...

Will be heading up in early September. It’s a little difficult for me to get up to date information from here in Ohio. It appears from what I see online that there’s been a fair amount of rain up there. Has fire been an issue this year?
Has the ban been lifted?
Thanks
