Thinking about next year. Considering something different than Quetico. We would need an outfitter for info and gear since so far from home. Anyone have any other thoughts? Thanks

i've only seen Red Lake Outfitters (Harlan) gear and canoes, new, clean, precisely what is needed for a wcpp trip.

Agreed... He's very helpful and dedicated to your needs. He helped us get a place to stay when most people were getting turned away.

We will also have a booth at Canoecopia in March and I look forward to meeting some BWCA.com members there!"

Welcome Harlan, I appreciate you joining us. I know I will have some questions for you as I get closer to planning my trip."

When there was not a room to be found in Red Lake, Harlan pulled through and got us one at the Howey Bay Motel. He was very helpful and is very interested in running a first rate outfitting business. All he got from me was a meal... I'll be using him for a shuttle in August.

I used Goldseekers when I went to WCPP back in 03.

He was a good outfitter. I only needed him for map advice. We used his bunkhouse too. I think he was just getting started back then because he marked the portages in a marker that washed off when it got wet. By the end of our trip there was only a faint line on the map. Luckily we made it out.

We did see a woodland Caribou on our last day. The place is amazing. Imagine the BWCA with NO people and no big trees.
