I suspect the Black Bear Shell station just on the outskirts of the town of Fort Frances heading east remains open into the evening. Can buy maps and fishing licences there, fuel up, etc...

Four Seasons Sport Shope usually stay open till 8 or 9pm. To obtain park permits, you may also phone the park office on a weekday, register over the phone, provide payment by way of credit card details, and a permit will be e-mailed to you the same day.

I am working in Fire in support services at this time but will be back to my normal duties at the park office this Wednesday. Regardless, if you phone (807) 727-1329 (park's general inquiry line) someone should be in to answer. If out of the office on errands (very small staff) please do leave a message. Someone will get back to you.

For anyone else that is wondering, Four Seasons will be open 6am-8pm on Friday & Saturday of Labor Day weekend

Claire: interesting that you e-mail the permits, because of the postal strike, I was trying to find another place to get the permits in advance

Is there a place to buy a fishing license late at night between Fort Frances & Ear Falls? How about suggestions for gas, food,...

Anybody know the hours of the Four Seasons Sport Shop in Ear Falls that sells WC camping permits?
