Well the rains keep in coming, 10th day in a row with rain....good news is the low water levels of last year and early spring are now a thing of the past! Should clear up nicely towards the end of the week.

That sounds good. With even a bit of luck you can avoid the fires you suffered last year!

Thanks. I'll post up a status request each week or so. Anticipation...

Harlan or Claire (or anyone else who lives by Red Lake)
OK. I am 5 weeks from entry...so how is the rain fall so far this year? It looks like fire danger is low right now. Is that correct?
How are water levels in the lakes? Are they coming back up at all?

So...it looks like you have been getting a decent amount of rainfall...even some today. I am guessing that as of now fire danger is low?

Hi James,

water levels are increasing by the hour. Solid week or rain and lots of it. It's the most rain I've seen since the summer of 2009! You should have lots of water for your trip and fire should not be an issue...at least at the moment they are not.
