Yep. I did pretty well in the Lawrence/Larus/Simeon areas last year. I even boated a few Smallies in the channel area between Lawrence and Simeon. The buoy marker in Lawrence adjacent to the burned out campsite was productive for walleye and I boated a couple of 40+ inch pike in that area as well.

And ... yes, 5" white tail twister grub! It scored every time!!!

I could have gone with a ziplock bag and done just as well…….. but it is so much fun to buy all that stuff!

and a few others

We caught fish consistently. Most used and successful lure was a 1/4 ounce jigged (color did not seem to matter) with a white twister tail, see photo, jigged and for pike swam it through the cover.

Also used a variety of crankbaits. Had good success in the usual places, below falls, in narrow areas with running water. Also points and flat, rocky shorelines fished at the dropoff.

Best spot was the falls between Lawrence and Luris, incredible. Here are a couple of pictures, both fish revived and released, will post a bit more later, back to work, ugh!

Great tip on color, thanks! I didn't have any white's packed for our fall trip. There will be now!
