Beavers isn't that old, he's just from Nebraska!
Fear not Tomcat, we have knocked a few brews together over a campfire.
Your chairs while common are not seen as often now, and I have to admit I prefer accessories that fold and pack to smaller dimensions. On the topic of chairs another oldie
Kermit Chair an old DIY project a bit more compex but adaptable.

Cool design and even cooler that your son has held onto them. What kind of wood did you use?

I've got a couple of stools that my grandpa made probably in the 50's. They are made out of oak and I'm guessing my grandma sewed the canvas for them. My kids use them when we are car camping. Maybe your great grandchildren will be using your chairs someday.

Beavers: "Haha I guess I am getting old enough to be dated.
Butthead is right though. Nebraska runs about 15 years behind the rest of the country so it's still fleek to say cool here. "
