I just finished this pair mittens for winter guitar playing out around the campfire. Note the different thumbs. The right is to accommodate finger picking and better strumming. My hands are too small to do any of the thumb over chords so I can cover the left thumb.

What are you up to??

Sounds great. I'd have to plan a canoe trip before or after though, and leave the guitar and banjo at your cabin while I was out in the BW.

Grandma L: "Russ, thanks for the comment. We should just wait until this virus thing is calmed down and meet at my cabin for a few days, play guitar, sing and party. Who knows, maybe Linden, Ben and others in the area would come on over!"

I'm game when things settle down covid wise, let me know.

Very nice! That's what is so cool about making things yourself...you can make things you'd never find for sale in a store.

It's not cold enough here yet for me to get into the sewing mood, but I really want to make a heavy duty wool or fleece hoodie this winter. I bought the pattern already just have to figure out the material.

Wow! That's what I call a dedicated musician! I'm too much of a wimp for cold, outdoor playing. It's on my bucket list to play music with you some day. The Sept. event isn't an ideal time though.

What? Leave the warmth of southern Arizona! Can we do a zoom singalong?

Never fear, we will wait until you get back! You might have to help and invite a few friends too!

This is great!! gives me something to look forward to - BWCA.com guitar party!!
Now just get the virus settled down and we are in business. Linden, you might have to bring that "singing" dog of yours - (if you still have it). My guess is that the virus will be giving us trouble until next fall. That might be good timing - no mosquitoes.

A few years ago I made a winter hoody using an Army wool blanket for fabric. It was almost too warm. I have made several out of a high grade of fleece.
