I’m thinking of using 3M’s VHB two-sided tape to attach polyethylene foam to the floor of my Souris River canoe (as a kneeling pad). Thinking ahead, I may want to remove the foam at a later date.

Does anyone have experience with removing 3M’s VHB tape from Kevlar? I’ve read that you should soak the tape with WD-40 prior to removal. I’m wondering if WD-40 would have any adverse affects on the Kevlar or epoxy finish.
