I meet with a small group of men once a week for prayer, Bible study, etc. We just finished reading a book by A. W. Tozer, "The Knowledge of the Holy". It is an older book, copyright 1961, but new copies can be found in paperback. It is about the attributes of God in 23 chapters and 126 pages. I highly recommend it. Tozer lived in the King James version, so readers used to modern translations will have a bit of cross-cultural work to do, but it will be worth it.
