I was listening to that song on repeat on my way to work one morning, and my mom kept trying to call, and I kept ignoring it, "Spirit Lead me where my trust is without borders..." After the 3rd time she called I answered - to devastating news that my dad was in a coma after choking on his breakfast that morning... he later passed away from brain injuries d/t lack of oxygen... {that's how I found the boundary waters - to heal from that} It was no coincidence that I was listening to Oceans right before I heard the news. I also got to hear/sing with Taya Smith (of Hillsong) live singing Oceans.... of course tears... but I sang that out as loud as I could... And Taya Smith - man she hit a note that I didn't know humans could even make. It was so amazing, and one of the best nights of my life. |
