Ok, my plans are solidifying a bit more. I am now tentatively planning to fly into Albuquerque on Friday evening, 9/20 and doing some type of loop entering/exiting The Pine River Trail in the Weminuche Wilderness Area in Southern Colorado from Saturday, 9/21 to Thursday, 9/26. It starts a a lower elevation and has a more gradual assent so it would provide some altitude acclimation over a day or two. My parents were born and raised in Santa Fe, so I have family in the area and I plan on driving to Santa Fe on Thursday, meeting up with a cousin or two of mine and doing a trip in the Pecos Wilderness Area from Friday, 9/27 through Monday 10/1. Would depart for home from ABQ on Tuesday, 10/2 early.


It would be easy for someone to do the CO portion of the trip, drop me off in Santa Fe and then take the rental car back to ABQ and depart or stay and continue through and do the Pecos Wilderness as well.

I haven't been able to do a trip in more than a year and I'm planning on taking a week long trip sometime in the later half of September. I'm kinda hankering to do some backpacking in the mountains. It's been a long time since I've had that opportunity and would prefer to go on a "parallel solo" with someone. Basically go together, share a rental car, but outfit ourselves individually. If no one is up for the Rockies I'd be open to a BW trip as well. Email me if you're interested. Clicking on the mail icon has my email.
