pswith5 --- I'm guessing you and I are around the same age but maybe prizes14 would be interested in something like this route --- I've been following a proposed route by another paddler who is thinking of going in Kawishiwi all the way up to about Little Sag and then back down through Long to Cherokee and out Sawbill --- maybe loop back to K. I was thinking of just heading north up to about Little Sag ( 7 - 10 day) adventure and see if we crossed paths somewhere on that trip. Might be a decent adventure for two or three of us, separate boats. Lots of good fishing heading north out of Sawbill and then looping back down. Thoughts? My timeframe could slide around depending on what others want to do....

No. Been there but that wasn't me. I think you were looking to go in in September and my timeframe was October. Anyway, the timeframe this fall might work out so let us all know as your plans firm up. A parallel solo is a great way to go on an initial run.

I usually go canoeing with my dad but he is 65 and had rotator cuff surgery and doubts he will be able to go with me. I am thinking about doing my first solo trip but wondered if there is any interest in someone else going in as a solo and possibly meeting up occasionally during the trip in early to mid September.

I know you are all good guys but I just can't get myself to go with a total stranger in a canoe if for some reason we couldn't get along.

I am thinking something around EP 34, 35, 36 or 37 around the south part of the BWCA but am open to any other areas from some of you experts.

I am 32, decent shape with good outdoor skills, come from a farm in Nebraska but currently work as a banker, easy going, a Christian, don't smoke or drink, would like to catch fish and so some exploring.

Prizes14,

I think we might have tried to coordinate on something like this last fall? Anyway, keep posting here as your plans firm up. I'm looking at a potential trip in that slot or October so might be interested. Just came out of Sawbill/Cherokee with my family. Good entry point but there are lots around that area.
