I will arrive in ely may 14th, Friday, early morning, pick up permit, see the sites, sleep in car at moose lake ep. that eve. paddle up moose sat morning to birch then east. re-reading the root beer lady now just to freshen up. tour knife and area for the week then back thru ensign to return, or something like that.
sounds like fun!

I'll be up there a week or so earlier doing pretty much that route but may head off into Man Chain --- all dependent on whether the water cooperates!

Just wanted to let you know that there will be quite a few BWCA ladies in the Ely area that week and holiday weekend so keep your eyes peeled for Flying Moose stickers in town!

due to change in 2015 vacation plans, I will be heading to ely in may.
I would like to head up moose, thru birch , then to knife, and who knows from there.
it will probably be the week before memorial day.
