I think its about a 2 mile portage, it would be fishing opener 2016.

quote housty9: "Thinking of starting at EP. 14 to EP. 70, trying to miss out on some of the boat traffic out of Crane, figuring 2 weeks or less time wise, I would go solo even if a group wants to start the other direction, need to figure out the transportation thing. "

Easy 14 day trip. I'd consider it if it wasn't a competition. Maybe one group that wants to go go go can go one way and the other can go a normal pace. I'll be the big 6-0 this year so I can now justify my lack of speed. :)

Absolutely, that's your priority. Hope it all goes/is going well for her!

Looking for 2 groups of solo paddlers interested in doing a border route trip, some heading East and some heading West, So we could meet and switch cars before trip, I would have a 2 week window or less, thinking around opening weekend in May, nothings is set, just seeing if there's interest.

I want to move just enough to see new stuff everyday with out killing myself, and even detour to see other things, I'm sure weather will determine layover days, 14 to 16 days is a lot of time to fish, take pictures, explore, relax and travel with out racing.

That's not so bad. I did the tuscarora portage with a fair amount of gear. Survived.

Interesting idea. Right now I'm just going to listen in and think about it.

It's flat and easy for the most part. The east end is a little more rugged, but goes quick.
