I bought the material while it was on sale for $5/ yard. Three days later it was $9/yard. There is 11 yards of fabric and about $20 in other things. I will seal the center seam. That seam needs to be folded in the downhill direction so water flows over it rather than making a dam. Muddyfeet Not yet but I will. I have different colored straps on my hammock ends but haven’t come up with a method to mark the tarp yet. Got any good suggestions. I am thinking a little piece of grosgrain (leftovers) tied to one end. |

What did all the materials cost you? Do you manually seal the seams when finished sewing? |

I made a semi-rectangular tarp from XL silpoly last year, for when I'm not going light, and that extra room sure is nice on weather days! Looks like your pole mods really open it up, too. Question: do you have the ends marked so you know which way the 45deg side will go when you hang it? |
