What type of hammock did you end up going with?

I buried a 12' 6x6 in my backyard just so I could put out a hammock. Glad yours was a successful trip! Hope mine goes the same way next month.

I got a Dutchware Chameleon and and ENO Housefly Rain tarp. I used my old mummy Bag from Hyke and Byke and a borrowed underquilt that Muddyfeet made himself.

My son had a borrowed set from Muddyfeet. All homemade because that's how Muddyfeet rolls. He is a mad scientist. My son also slept well but desires a flatter lay. We will look about for a hammock that suits him.

My trip partners woke up each day sore from sleeping on rocks and roots, sliding off pads, etc. Never going back. I still have a lot to learn. Thanks for all the help here.

Good to hear your hang went well.
Now you need to get some snakeskins to speed up and simplify packing...just ask Alice...or is that Shug?

Thanks Moray. I have looked at reviews on the Ridgerunner too. Good options out there.

Sweet - happy to hear things went well for you! Other than when I trip/camp with the wife, I'll never be on the ground again either.

Little cinnamon bun - that's great. Glad you enjoyed it.

It's glorious. I think that hammock needs to go up in the yard soon for a practice hang

Another convert. Congrats for taking the plunge. For me I never sleep better and it's kind of hard to get out of the sack in the morning it's so comfortable.

Might also want to consider a WarBonnet Ridgerunner bridge hammock. I’m a side sleeper and need a flat lie. I’ve used this hammock for 3 BW trips and love it! I highly recommend it.
