Thanks. I've seen the reference to a 30 degree angle before, but I must admit I do not really know what this means; what part of the hammock is at 30 degrees, and 30 degrees to what? Sorry for such a stupid question!

If you imagine a straight line from one attachment point to the other, you would have the suspension at roughly a 30 degree angle from that line. It's different for each person but I find that 30 degrees gets it in the ballpark for most and you can fine tune it from there.

Thanks! I also just got done looking at a couple of videos on the Warbonnet website, and I think I now have a decent idea on how to get a correct hang. I will try this out later today!

On my most recent trip, the door zipper on my tent broke leaving me pretty much an open bar for the skeeters. I ended up attempting to sleep with a bug net on my head and the tent (a Big Anges solo) draped over my body. As I finally started to doze, my air mattress (also a Bog Agnes product) blew a valve.
Tired and pissed, I attempted to sleep in my ENO hammock, but I could not get comfortable enough to do so.
I've read enough posts on this forum to be really curious about hanging, and Right Rain Gear was kind enough to offer me a hammock of his to try on the above mentioned trip (and I sure as heck wish I'd taken him up on the offer!!).
My question is how do you hang your hammock so that you can get darn near horizontal on it? No matter how taught I string my ENO (it's a double wide), I always end up in a banana position, and I am laying diagonally in the thing. Is the hammock? What am I doing wrong?
After the mattress and zipper folly-and I know a zipper could fail on a hammock screen as well-I am really interested in trying to hang, but I just do not think it would work for me. I also do not want to spend a few hundred bucks on a hanging system just to find that it will not work for me. Any and all suggestions are welcome. Thanks!!
