I decided to go with the Hennessy Explorer Deluxe because of the great price I was able to get ($100 off retail). I had to go with the bottom entry because the zipper model was on backorder and my trip is this coming weekend. I have a couple of questions that I am hoping you can help me with. I am also searching Hammock Forums but haven't found my answers yet.

1. I don't have a UQ yet and I will have to use my exped for insulation. Does anyone have experience with a bottom entry and a pad? Any advice?

2. I have found some tutorials on switching the over to whoopie slings which I already have. Is it worth it to switch over for this trip or just stick with the stock system in your opinion. (I also have dutch clips)

Here is a quilt made for a bottom entry. I personally went with a zipper mod and purchased a quilt from another maker. I couldn't get comfortable with a pad.

Used the stock system for years with no issues. Just recently switched to whoopies, trying to shrink my pack size down.

Hammock Forims has an abundance of information, which will make your head spin reading. I'm sure any question about hammocking can be answered there.
