You said that you wanted some pictures.
A view from the hammock. If you look, there is a rainbow that is going around the sun. It was like that most of the day. Have never seen anything like it before.

Nice shot! I think that's called a sun dog. I remember seeing one while paddling Basswood on a very calm day. Kinda freaky.

Guess that I have never seen them from straight up before. Always been with the sun on the horizon.
