There are a few of them over on the hammock forums page. If you want to search for them you need to use google and set the site to hammockforums.net, their search on the site sucks incredibly hard.

Tested my new DIY winter hammock sock prototype last weekend. It is intended for cold weather (20 degrees and below) but I tested it at fifty degrees. At that temp, the canvas sock added almost twenty degrees to my interior temp. I was burning up at 2:00 AM and had to vent it for the rest of the night.
Anybody else getting set up for winter hanging?

It's definitely not made for backpacking. I'll bet it weighs at least four pounds. It's designed for deep winter weather when gear is carried in a pulk or sled. Again, I'll weigh it when I get it finished.
Canvas is used for its ability to breathe without creating condensation.

The canvas sock should add and extra ten to fifteen degrees at temps under twenty degrees. I learned last weekend that it adds more at fifty degrees.
The sock is a prototype based on MacIntyre's Molly Mac Gear canvas winter sock. I'm still making adjustments and design changes. I'll try to share some DIY details once I get it finished ... which should be done by January when I plan some winter hanging.
