I thought it would be a good idea to have a special place for those of us who canoe with our dogs, and now we won't get those grumpy folks ragging on us for bringing a dog. :)

Good idea! I have never taken my dogs to the BWCA, but have done days trips with them in rivers in IL and WI. Plus, I go backpacking with them which is of course similar to canoe tripping minus the water :)
