Ingredients: • Walleye filets in small pieces • Plain bread crumbs (Meijer’s brand works well) • egg • milk • vegetable oil Method: Make an egg wash with the egg and milk using 1 cup milk for every 2 eggs. Wisk together. Put bread crumbs on a plate or in a shallow bowl. Dip each filet in the egg wash and then roll in bread crumbs. Fry fish until done in about 1/4" vegetable oil at 375 degrees. Notes: Pam, my cousin, used this recipe on a mess of fish when we were camping in Ely, MN 2021. I might add a touch of salt to the bread crumbs next time. This works fine with walleye and perch and I suppose would be very good with bluegills. |
