quote h20: "It's beer. It is what it is. Who cares?" If that were true, there would be no point to a beer forum. The fact is, most of us will not even get around to trying all the major styles within which are extreme differences such as sour ales/milk stouts, 3%/18% ABV, and triple ipas/adjunct lagers. If I were to insert the words cigar, wine or whiskey into your quote, I'd likely be less wrong than with the word beer. I enjoy all of the above but I perceive the most variety in beer.

Maybe a good time for one of you to start a Winter Ale thread?...

quote h20: "haha...I love all brews..IPAs,lagers, porters, sour ales, stouts, Scottish ales, etc. Hi, Jan." People just needed clarification. I provided it.

And that's a nice quote.."flavor profile"...I like it.

...really good IPA's in cans. Fishing for suggestions. I already know about furious, hopdish, bent paddles golden, and indeeds let it ride. Not interested in black ipa's.

I like the Grapefruit Sculpin. Regular Sculpin comes in cans too.
I've heard that a certain Belgium Brewing product, called "Ranger," is also available in cans. I can't vouch for it as I've only had the bottled stuff.

Ranger, huh. I'll have to look into that.

A lot of people seem to like SN Torpedo. I have not tried it from cans yet (I don't think) but it comes highly rated on Beeradvocate and Ratebeer.
I don't know if you get Firestone Walker back there, two time zones away, but Easy Jack (session beer) and Union Jack are highly respected and come in cans.

I've had many torpedos, forgot to mention that. Just got back from the cold beer store, picked up 3 sixers I had not tried before... Bauhaus sky-five, squatters hop rising double, and bent paddles harness. Wish me luck.

Sky-five. Just a run of the mill ipa. (It is past noon here)

Harness...a lot above average.

+1 on the Ode and the Odells IPA.

Hope rising. At 9% it sure doesn't taste like a 9. Kinda flavorful.

quote kanoes: "Harness...a lot above average." Agree. We had it on cask at a holiday open house at Brew Ales & Eats and it was really amazing.
Bell's Two Hearted, of course Surly Abrasive, although that's a double Surly Overrated, more of a West Coast IPA

I personally enjoy bringing Dale's Pale Ale as my all day fishing beer. Toss in some Bent Paddle and Surly Ferious for changing it up every now and then and I am good to go all day.
