We dropped in on the Founders tap takeover this weekend at Brew, our local craft beer burger spot. Their Azacca IPA was excellent for starters but I chose the Backwoods Bastard to accompany my meal.
The description includes, "...warm smells of single malt scotch, oaky bourbon barrels, smoke, sweet caramel and roasted malts..." Maybe seemed a bit pretentious at first, but I decided to give it a try. Oh my. I almost broke my rule about no two glasses of the same beer in one visit. SO good.
