I picked up some Deschutes Jubelale, Lagunitas 12th of never and Indeed Stir Crazy. We are going to our cabin on Friday so I splurged on a 4 pack of Founders Backwoods Bastard to enjoy in the woods. How about you? Hope you all have a great Thanksgiving! Cheers!

Yesterday I went and grabbed some Castle Danger Ode for our day of putting up Christmas decorations. I really like Castle Danger selections.

Nice! Just finishing up my Fresh Hop I brewed. I used first year Warrior hops to bitter and it came out pretty low on the IBU's. I added lots of Cascades from 30 to 0. Came out ok.

Jubelale was also my offering for this weekend's gathering. Loved viewing its yearly label artwork history over the years on display when we toured in Bend a while back; never more than slightly impressed with the annual beer. Since it's slightly different year to year, I thought I'd give it another try. Not so good... I thought this year's work to be over-spiced, but others said it was 'okay.' Not a ringing endorsement. Fine in small tasting glasses pre-dinner. "
I love Jubelale. I don't think they use spices though?

quote AJ2008: "I love Jubelale. I don't think they use spices though?" It's the Bravo and Tettnang hops which provide (from the description on Deschutes' site): its "warm spiciness."

I experimented with Trader Joe's Providential Belgian Style Golden Ale. I found it better than I had expected and will be tempted to buy it again.

Its always difficult to judge acid content on homegrown hops. I tend to add more than the recipe calls for but I am a "hop head".. Cheers!
