Article II of The Definitive Treaty of Peace 1783 failed to establish an effective border with the British, and was corrected in Article II of the The Webster-Ashburton Treaty. Take note that the second President under the Articles of Confederation, Elias Boudinot, executed the peace treaty that had been signed in September 1783. He was soon succeeded by Thomas Mifflin in November of 1783.
