They had a news story about this and DEET on the national news the other night. They had the reporter put DEET on one arm and then stick their arm in a mosquito box and rec'd no bites. Then they put Picaridin on the other arm and stuck that arm in the box and only rec'd two mosquito bites. Supposedly all you need is DEET somewhere between 15-30%. Which is odd because they make a 40% not a 30%.

Hmmm. I think I'll stick with Deet.

I've heard good things about picaridin. I bought two 1oz bottles of natrapel for my next trip to the bwca (tee minus a month and counting.) Has anyone used this? How were the results compared to deet?

thanks,
kc

I have never heard of it. I'll have to google it. Please let us know how it works out for you.
