DVD is not available. That's why we've put it up here so everyone who wants can see it.

Yeah, he said it was temporary. You might contact him though. Got anything to barter?

It was a hell of a trip and one you really can't imagine without the visuals.

he was gracious enough to send me ( a total stranger) a set of these on DVD since my internet is so slow.... If I find them and you want to borrow them let me know (rlderrig@gmail.com)
R you going to 'copia...could give them to you there....now I have to remember where they are.
He should really put something like that on PBS or ?

Yeah I experienced the same thing. He sent me 4 blu rays and it's spectacularly stunning how it's put together. I think a 6-8 part series on PBS would be so cool but don't think it will materialize.

What great gesture, on his part and now on yours. I'd love to borrow them if you're able to find them. Unfortunately, it's 6 hours each way for me, so it's not in the cards.

Thank you, BeaV and Jerry! It's mind-boggling that on top of surviving brutal conditions, paddling and portaging extreme distances, you hauled the extra resources and had the energy to capture your adventure on video. You are amazing. This is an awesome watch. Thank you.

Oh yes it smelled quite bad. Not sure how I didn't notice it when I beached but I think it may have been underwater at high tide when I landed here. Had camp all set up before I noticed it. Not sure if a big critter fed on it earlier. It was to the point that only ravens and crabs would want to chew on it.

paddlefamily- the flora and fauna along the Inside Passage is awesome. This is a temperate rainforest and the scale of the forest is huge. Giant trees everywhere!

Thanks Jerry. I think I've said it before but for those who didn't see that discussion or for new folks here, this trip was not done for any sort of promotion of a cause, product, or self; I did it because I just wanted to. The video footage and photos were taken for memories sake and to share with family- never intended it for others to view.

I still have a hard time with letting out my story. The emotions, both good and bad, are still raw to me and I'm embarrassed for others to see them. I still think I'd like the control in the future to just remove all traces of this footage from the public's eye, if at some point I choose to. So that is why I ask for your restraint on making copies.

I do enjoy seeing people's responses to the video (too bad we can't be sitting in the same room together). So feel free to comment and ask questions as you watch.

Is there some secret to viewing this? I am just starting at a blank black box where the video should be. I can read Beav's comment below it. At the top, a line states no video found. Yes, I entered the password. Just no video playing. Maybe it's my computer here at work? I'll try later. Looking forward to watching the videos.

Well, I decided to cough up some $ to expand my data storage on Vimeo, so they will all now be up until around February 12. At that time, they will all be deleted. So you have lots of time! Enjoy, Nola!

ozarkpaddler- probably not in awe but he must have been smiling over it and I hoped I'd earned his respect. I asked him for guidance a few times. Quite a boat he designed!

OneMatch- I hope I didn't make that claim as I'm not sure about that statement. I'm pretty sure, though, if you add the adjectives of "unsupported and continuous" this trip might be unique.

Over the course of my life I have been acquainted with some very gifted/talented/ hard working athletes-- many that have swam in the Olympics for USA and other countries. A few have even medaled. One still holds a World Record. But-- without a doubt-- I have never personally met someone that has accomplished anything close to what BeaV did. It's simply awe inspiring. You folks now watching are in for something that words can't describe.. Enjoy!!!

Thanks to CanoeKev here in Nashville for his software, BeaV has given me the green light to start posting the amazing video of his trip. There are 14 parts, some about 20 minutes long, some much longer. In keeping with BeaV's wishes and my Vimeo storage budget, all videos will be taken down Feb 12.

Also PLEASE honor BeaV's wishes to not attempt to download, embed or otherwise post this on YouTube or other internet sources. I have set the preferences to not allow downloading and/or embedding.

Once you click on the link, you will need a password:

B3@V5tr1p

case sensitive.

I hope you enjoy it all as much as I have. As soon as CanoeKev loads up another, I'll post it and keep doing so as we go.

This segment is 23 minutes long.
