The Kishwaukee river.. not sure on the start, it may be Cherry Valley. End up at the fest / camp grounds. Bobbwca has all the details covered. He has done a fantastic job.

I'm planning on being there but probably won't be camping anymore, as I have a wedding to attend the next day. Looking forward to it!

After thinking about doing this for the last few years, I decided to get a few people together and see if we could make it happen.

This event will be held at the same location i've had my wingnights at. It will take place August 1st, starting at 10 am. 6802 42nd st. Rockford, IL.
I will have two bands, Jerry Vandiver and Amberly Rosen from Nashville, TN. (Onematch), and Rockford,Illinois own Swingbilly RFD (Bonvicken). We will have canoe and Kayak clinics available, transportation up stream to Cherry Valley (If youd like to paddle back to the event and not worry about how to get your car back). Leinenkugals will be a sponsor of the event, and we will have food and other drinks available.
I will get more information posted soon. Mark the date on your calendar if your not somewhere else paddling!

I am new to the site and from the Rockford area. Where exactly is this located at ? The 1st is actually our travel home day for our Scout Troop's first trip to the BWCA though.

bab- Location=6802 42nd st. Rockford, IL. That is Southeast of I-39 and US 20. Take 42nd St south from Blackhawk Rd. Then look for the little signs pointing the way east...
If you can stop by for even an hour or two, you will be amazed at how friendly and welcoming the folks are.
