Boundary Waters Quetico Forum :: COVID-19 Information and Discussion :: Masked Required Indoors in MN - starting July 25th
"Gov. Tim Walz announced a statewide mandate Wednesday requiring Minnesotans to wear face masks in stores, public buildings and other places where people gather indoors, a dramatic extension of his emergency powers in the midst of a COVID-19 pandemic that still appears on the upswing in many states.
The new rules takes effect Saturday and would apply to most indoor spaces outside people's homes, as well as some outdoor venues where social distancing is difficult. Diners, for example, would be expected to wear masks while they're moving around in restaurants, but not while they're eating or drinking. Exceptions would also be granted for young children and people with special medical conditions.
"This is the way, the cheapest, the most effective way for us to open up our businesses, for us to get our kids back in school, for us to keep our grandparents healthy and for us to get back that life that we all miss so much," Walz said.
The new mask rule has been recommended by public health experts and already has been adopted in some form in several Minnesota cities and more than two dozen other states. But while some large retailers have said they would welcome a legal mandate, the move faces opposition from Republican leaders in the state who see it as an overreach of his executive powers." - Star Trib article
For restaurants, the expectation is a mask is worn in common areas, but not while eating or drinking.
Actually there is such a huge market for good quality masks along with your favorite design or vacation spot etc.. A map of the BWCA would be cool.
One more use for the BDB!
Well, there is that line of fabric maps.

Well, you could, but then you wouldn't have much of a map.

I bought some of the masks from paddling.net and Neil was upset about how much they cost. But they are the most effective, most comfortable masks we have. And they have paddles on them!!
