I choose MSR's Duralite Gourmet Cookset supplemented with an REI 10" fry pan, and a Texsport purcalator kettle.

Moduled Gear Bags

Loose, unorganized gear can make the trip less enjoyable. I use Granite Gear Airline stuff sacks, and compression sacks to avoid problems. Then I load them all into my portage pack like a game of real-life Tetris.

ArcTeryx Rain Gear

Using Goretex Paclite, this highly breathable, 100% waterproof solution sits right on top of the pack for easy access. The jacket weighs 11 oz and the pant weigh 9 oz.

Easy Access Gear

I find it important to have the anchor, seat cushion, rope, and tarp near the top of my pack.

This massive pack weighs in around 45lbs. At 7400 CU" the pack is still only about 2/3rds full.
