Comments below are great. Just adding a photo with a view of the lake from the fire grate. The sound of rapids is wonderful.

Camp Notes:
Great camp site with good fishing spots on both sides of camp. Great location on the rapids. Nice big tent area. Only draw back is that most of the year people will be walking right through the fire pit area to get around the rapids. Which made it a 3. But if you like company, it's a great spot.

We absolutely loved this site. The rapids below the site added some terrific white noise to help you fall asleep. TONS and TONS of dry wood. Beach landing. WIDE open flat tent spots to easily accomodate 9 people. Only draw back would be there wasn't any super great place to hang a bear bag. Other commenters said their drawback is that the site is on a portage essentially - so you do meet people, but we didn't mind seeing people at all. If you do not want to see anyone -don't stay here - but I ended up getting a Johnson Silver Minnow from a very nice couple who we let walk/portage up near our fire grate - as that was easier than the portage. Caught the biggest bass of my life with that thing! (yes I know they're for Northerns).

Nice site next to the rapids. Only drawback is the portage to Horse goes within 10 feet of your campsite. You will meet some new people.

This campsite is back in a grove of trees. It will hold 3 or 4 tents. People may be portaging through the rocky area on the west edge of the campsite - not good if you want privacy.
