The McMurdo FastFind MaxG PLB offers peace of mind that anyone can carry anywhere as a last resort in an emergency. Once activated, the PLB transmits a unique identification signal along with your position to Search and Rescue or other local authorities via the COSPAS-SARSAT system. Typical time from activation to Search and Rescue receiving alert is 3 min. Simultaneously transmits a 121.5 MHz homing signal to the immediate area to help rescuers find you once they are near your location. 48-hour battery pack lasts twice as long as comparable PLBs and is easily user replaceable; Battery has a storage life of 5 years. Simple 3-stage deployment prevents accidental activation. Antenna automatically springs into place when deployed; when not in use, antenna remains hidden from view and protected against rough handling. Integral 12-channel GPS receiver transmits your coordinates, typically within +/- 62m (203 ft.); visual indicator confirms GPS position acquisition. PLB transmits position updates every 20 min. McMurdo FastFind MaxG PLB floats and is waterproof to 10m (33 ft.). Operates in temperatures ranging from -4degF (-20degC) to 131degF (70degC). Approved by the FCC and COSPAS-SARSAT. Includes strong and flexible lanyard cord and a carry pouch.
