Marmot Limelight 2P Tent with Footprint

I actually have the Limelight 3P tent I use as a double. With back problems, I bring a light weight cot, and my current 2 person tent didn't fit any cots.


Head Room: Awesome! With the near vertical knee walls, you don't feel like you're going to push up against the sides of the tent. While I don't spend a whole lot of time during the day, there is comfortable head room if you need to be hunkered down and not using a tarp. The 2 person design is the same, but footprint would be a little smaller.


Weight: A little on the heavier side, I think 6 pounds vs my 4 pound 2 person. Worth the extra weight to fit the cots in.


Fly: First night in it had a "drencher"- was something like 2-3" in an hour. Held up fine. Did not have a plastic liner on the inside the tent, but will in the future. Not because you need one, but because I'm a belt and suspenders type of person.


Cons: First time I set it up, a large gust of wind tried to collapse the side because of the knee walls I described above. After I figured out to get the two corner stakes in on the upwind side right away, this problem was as pronounced. You still need to get the fly on so you can stake the upper corners. Something to consider.


Overall: I like the tent, seems like there is an endless line of good, quality tents these days. With a bad back and needing a cot, this tent fit the bill just right.
