I am a large guy and appreciate the additional space. This chair is a great back saver both in the canoe and around the fire pit. We have used our present chairs for over three years and don't baby them and they are holding up well. They usually can be found on sale.Boppa

Works really well for my aging back both in the canoe and around the campfire. I am 5'10" and this fits me well. My friend who is well over 6' didn't find it as comfortable. NOTE: this is not a rigid back chair. What it offers is flexible support where traditionally there is none in a canoe or perched on a rock slab. I wouldn't consider a long trip in a canoe without my Crazy Creek.
