Camp Notes:
In a burn down area. Very little tree protection. There was one tall dead tree that we attempted to use to hang our bear bag. I'm sure it wouldn't have been as secure as we needed if a bear had really wanted it. The main reason we stayed here was because one of the canoes in our party tipped and we were slower than expected getting through the lakes. I wouldn't have chosen this location ... though it was very private. To get to the campsite you have to go around the point. Super windy and little protection meant one of the tents wouldn't stay up. Was an interesting evening.

Camp Notes:
This site is kind of small, and there are no trees. There's a single dead tree trunk about 7 feet tall, but there are no branches. We hung the water filter around the top of the trunk, and stretched a rope to a small pine 10 yards away so that we could hang a couple other things up. The grass was very long (going to seed) and there were a lot of mosquitos hiding in there. The path to the latrine is a small mountain climb (the photo is half-way to the latrine, on top of the hill, looking back toward the fire grate and tent pad). On the positive side, it was very private and you can hear the rushing water coming from Kingfisher Lake from this site.

we did stop and walk around and it is about as bad as it gets. very open and trees are a long ways away to even think of tieing to, no shore fishing due to wood. and theres alot of firewood in this area but not here! nature will take this 1 over, might be good in 100 years :)

We paddled by this site. It was pretty well burned out.
