Today was another fantastic day. The lack of wind made travel quick has we made it all the way from McKenzie Bay to the campsite just north of Deadman's Portage on Saganagons Lake by early afternoon. We returned via the same route we entered.
Koko Falls.
Near Little Falls.
Ominous skies loomed over Sagagnagons Lake. For a while it looked like we would get the brunt of it, but all the rain stayed south of us. The sound of the thunder and lightning was impressive.
The island campsite we chose on Saganagons was large and very open. There were plenty of tent pads back in the woods. The site had two fire pits. One overlooking the water and a second one back in a clearing in the woods. That spot would be ideal for a windy day. It was a nice lazy afternoon in camp: swimming and napping.
After dinner, we headed out for some fishing. We didn't have much luck other than a couple pike, but we were greeted by a fantastic sunset. The night was absolutely still.
