we wake up to a beautiful morning.

i took a shower last night and only thought it fair that i do some laundry this morning...to lower the stink factor of my clothing a little.

dan and i head off on a "little" day trip as ken hangs around camp to do some fly fishing.

our loop will be cairn, heronshaw, metacryst, cutty, sark, and back to cairn. heronshaw was the coolest.

its a great 12 mile loop except for the portage from cutty to sark. that one was a nasty little b!t@h!

back on cairn dan stops to fish the inflow from sark. smallie after smallie after smallie. hes having blast and will end up keeping 3 of them for dinner. i tire of watching him catch fish and decide to paddle back to camp.

while we were gone ken did manage to catch a smallie on his flyrod.

tonight dinner will be courtesy of dan and ken...cajun shorelunch bass and potato pancakes. cant wait!

tomorrow we plan to be well into kawnipi, close to our cutoff for agnes.

btw..dinner was excellent.

dishes done, crumbs and excess oil dumped in the lake. :)

we will have a small fire tonight but wont last as late as yesterday. we want to be paddling around 7am.

im a friggin gnat magnet! they arent even bothering ken and dan. not fair.
