kahshahpiwi-kawnipi-k'agnes loop. the drops of rain tour, 2012
by kanoes
as hard as this may be to believe...it rained again last night and still is.
we are lucky in the sense that agnes is calm yet unlucky that it rains our entire 11 mile paddle down her and the additional 2 miles to sunday lake. my first question at williams and hall will be "HOW MUCH FRIGGIN RAIN HAS FALLEN THIS WEEK?!?!?!"
oh, i did say goodbye to bruce this morning.
maintaining dry clothes on this trip has sure taken some forethought and planning.
its after 7 and the rain has stopped. ken is moving his lean now, he underestimated the pooling possibilty of the spot he originally chose. with all this rain i can understand.
the wind is northerly now and tomorrow we have two choices. out singing brook/yellow brick or the north portage. i lobby for the first choice...we will see.
forgot to mention, we stopped at louisa falls on the way here. i now understand its massive attraction.
this was viewed while paddling southern agnes, it was on the eastern shore. im guessing it only occures after big rain events. notice the tall trees for scale referance.
i think i cursed this trip when i packed my "rite in the rain" notebook.
we had a tiny fire tonight. :)
