Day Seven:

On Saturday morning we packed all of our stuff into the car (Boy, we had a LOT of stuff!) and said goodbye to Spruce Cabin and Fenske Lake. It had been a good place to be. We had fun here.

We headed down the Echo Trail. . .

. . .and the car ahead of us stopped suddenly!

A really big snapping turtle!

Robert didn’t see a lot of the countryside on our trip south. He enjoyed his computer games again, and was very quiet. When the battery needed charging, we would play the Alphabet Game. But he asked to have it charged up ASAP!

We stopped at Gordy’s Hi-Hat in Cloquet for our lunch. The onion rings are great, and so are the shakes. Robert seemed to enjoy his cheeseburger, too.

We stayed overnight at the AmericInn in White Bear Lake because we wanted to visit our friends there. That also gave us the chance for some quality time in a really nice swimming pool.
