Today I packed a lunch and we were in the boat exploring and fishing. It was sunny but the wind was up and I stayed in a sheltered north arm after circling our island. We had lunch on top of a big hill where Jon “Banksiana” from BWCA.com had told me of a very old campsite. Sure enough there was an old fire ring on top.

As far as the fishing, I lost a real nice walleye right by the boat then landed some smallmouth and lost a bunch more. The required barbless hooks in Quetico are taking some getting used to. I finally tired of fighting the wind and gave it up and went back for a nap in the hammock.
