Friday, July 13, 2018 - 2nd Day of the drive home – Yukon & British Columbia

We put in a long day of driving today and log roughly 675 miles. This section of the drive through the Yukon and British Columbia is loaded with Amazing scenery. Besides the mountains, rivers, and lakes, we saw 14 black bear and 81 bison while driving.

We stopped at Kluane National Park and Reserve and hiked the Duke River that feeds the lake. We filled a 5g bucket with gravel for Dave’s work buddy so that he could pan for gold.

We were hoping to camp at Liard Hot Springs, but arrived too late and the camp was closed for the evening. We found a road-side pull-off not too far away there and crashed for the night.
