Day 23 of 28
Saturday, July 14, 2018 - 3rd Day of the drive home – British Columbia & Alberta
We spent several hours enjoying Liard Hot Springs. If ever you find yourself driving to Alaska, this is a “must see” place as it is truly amazing. After buying a couple of souvenirs at Liard Hot Springs, we finally got back on the road around 3:00 PM.
We unfortunately arrived too lake to try the “world’s greatest cinnibuns” from Tetsa River Lodge. We had been talking about these for the past couple of days so we were quite disappointment when the Lodge was closed before 6:00 PM on a Saturday.
We spotted the elusive Stone Sheep near Summit Lake, British Columbia.
The boys decided to go for a swim in Muncho Lake. With water temperatures probably in the 40°F range, it’s not a popular swimming location.
The boys were quite pleased to find Wi-Fi at Toad River Lodge and were glued to their phones until I dragged them back to the car to get back onto the road.
