Day 5 of 8
Wednesday, Day six, fourth day on the water. This day took us though part of Telescope lake up into Embryo lake. I believe this was the day we thought it was an overcast day but realized that what we saw was not fog but smoke. At first I was worried because there were some fires in the NE part of the park. What we learned later this was smoke all the way from the large fires in British Columbia. Passed our first fly in cabin. Chatted with the man on the dock fishing as we paddled past their rental cabin. These were the first people we saw in the park. They rent the cabin every year. Later that day we had planned to stop at a camp site that had a sand beach (the outfitter pointed it out to us on our map) for lunch. There were a couple there in hammocks. They were the first other paddlers we crossed. Instead of bothering them we went around the corner and pulled up on a sandy shore for lunch. We finished our day on Embryo lake.
