Well, I finally got rained on. And of course, it was the day I didn’t have the greatest sleep so it was a bit of a grind. Mosquitos took full advantage of the rain to attack, even while on the water. The water up to this point was mostly safe from the swarms of mosquitos. Only a few would dare to chase me. But with the rain, they took that as an opportunity to kick me while I was down.

On the plus side, the scenery started to show mountains again and there were these cool mini waterfalls feeding into the creek.

Thankfully, the rain lifted as I was ending my paddling for the day so I set up my tent in the sun. Overall, a bit of a grind but happy to be dry and warm again! I send off another inreach message to the bush pilot to reschedule my pickup for Friday afternoon rather than Saturday morning.
