This was taken during our spring trip. The last day 5/28/05 we woke up to a dense fog. |

I generally like to give loons plenty of space, but as my son and I were pushed down Knife Lake by a light breeze we were carried past members of this family. They showed no concern whatever, and a long lens enabled me to get this shot. |

I was making breakfast and heard, 'splash splash' behind camp. It was a moose coming out to feed. I had to wake the girls who were very sleepy and I was trying to be quiet. They both sat up and Ellen said to Emily the moose will probably be gone by the time we get out of the tent. Then they laid back down! I sternly told them to get out of bed and see the moose. They were glad they did. |
