halvorsonchristopher: "1bogfrog: "We just got back in last Friday and found we had minimal bugs on the east side. it was one of the better bug years we've had in quite a while."Where abouts? Started at Sawbill, cut over on the Lady Chain, then up through Little Sag and some of the northern trout lakes and headed back down through Long Island and Cherokee. Some rain and storms, but one of the best trips ever out of the many we've taken up there! Fishing was excellent! |

.SHORT TERM...(Today through Thursday) Issued at 242 AM CDT Wed Sep 5 2018 Clear skies and high pressure nearly centered over the Northland tonight will cause temperatures to fall into the 30s to low 40s tonight, with patchy frost possible across parts of northern Minnesota. A frost advisory is possible for tonight, but we`ll wait until the flooding threat is completely over in northwest Wisconsin before issuing one. |

I was on East Bearskin-Caribou-Pine a couple of weeks ago, and there were only a few mosquitoes in the evening. I only used bug spray once. And if there's been frost, I don't know that I'd bother to pack it. |
