Several years ago we had a snowy owl spend most of the winter on the coastal islands in Georgia. A local naturalist was able to collect pellets from the rain gutters of a beach house that it perched on frequently. Sent them off to a zoologist who specializes in identifying species from bone fragments. The owl was feed on sandpipers on the beach! |
